Final Project Restaurant Menu

Final Project for Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop. Create a restaurant menu for a fictional restaurant using a combination of vector and raster graphics. B. Include at least 2 custom downloaded fonts. I used Feast of Flesh, Midnight Chalker, Potatoes and Peas, and Creature Feature. C. Include at least 3 custom graphics that you created in illustrator including a logo and 2 menu items. Made the pie and soda glass for the Desserts and Beverages section and the Squigly Cthulhu for the cover. D. Include at least 5 raster graphics that have been edited in photoshop. Included 8 images for the main menu items that I stole from the web and then altered color balance and added transparency layers. E. Create a final 4 page menu that is 11in x 17in composed of all the necessary elements.

Today we turned in Project Four which had us create three vector icons and then two additional sets of the icons in a different style, I did Art icons of Landscape (home), Portrait, and Object (ship) of a Modern style, Medieval Fantasy style, and a Sci Fi style.

Chapters 4,5, 6

 Chapter Four involved using lines to create a factory: Chapter Five involved creating, merging, and working with shapes:       Chapter Six went into more detail relating to the different modes of color (CMYK which is better for commercial print, RGB for digital, inkjet, etc), swatches, loading swatches, hue, saturation, brightness, the eyedropper tool and how to load swatches from another document including how to create your own swatches of colors.

How to get around in Adobe Illustrator (Chap 1,2&3)

Chapters One, Two, and Three. Chapter One covered how to open documents, alter and set document settings including opening and saving them including many of the file types that Illustrator has the ability to work with. The tutorial also went over many general settings and how to change them (not all of them were still available in the current updated version). It explored the various types of templates, artboards, the best use of pixels, points, and picas, the difference between CMYK and RGB color options and the rastering setting. Chapter Two covers the concept and use of art boards, how to manipulate, move, alter their sizes and the difference between undo and revert. It then covered placing art boards inside other art boards and how to change the order priority of art boards, including using the rulers with art boards. Chapter Three covers the multiple zoom features, abilities, and methods including options that changed the methods available. It also went over the scroll/hand
