Photoshopping portraits for fun and profit.

This chapter went over many of the things we'd gone over in prior chapters but applying them to refine and retouch element by element to improve the overall using spot healing, color manipulation and cloning. Chapter Eleven shows the immense power of Photo Shop's content aware capabilities. Content aware coupled with the healing options are amazing in their ability to correct and completely replicate areas from the surrounding areas of the image including many different sample options. We also go over the dodge (brighten) and burn (darken) tools and how to use the sponge tool to desaturate and how to use the liquify filter to completely adjust major features.

Chapter Nine goes into the ways to make selections such as global or selective and the three mains types of selective in PhotoShop, geometric, free form and automated. Throughout the chapter we changed this: to this:

Chapter covered correcting color balance including converting the following image: from it's green color cast to: And manually correcting the following image: to the following by manually adjusting the color balance to: It continued to cover the use of a photo filter, the camera raw filter to quickly change color cast (although destructive) and increasing saturation with a vibrance layer.

Took the following four images, made each one it's own layer and gave it a transparency layer: to come up with this:

Run Horrest, run!

Went through the layer section of the tutorials which had us convert the horse image above to the Pegasus silhouette below. Very useful info that should prove invaluable for our Project One that is due this coming Monday. We then added a gradient fill layer in Chapter 6 creating the png image below.

It's Time to Crop and Roll.

Chapter four got in cropping including rotating the image while cropping, original image above and cropping activity in the screen snip below.
Tech for Graphics, Adobe Photoshop CC 2017 Tutorials Chapter one covered differences in the current interface of Photoshop 2017 from when the videos in the tutorial were made. It also went into detail about how to open images and set them to open in the Photoshop 2017 and a little info on the various image types. The instructor introduced the Bridge option for previewing images in Photoshop, a brief introduction to Photoshop's Camera Raw and options to how to close projects. Chapter two covered zooming and scrolling options of which Photoshop 2017 has many and how to control them. It also gave examples of under what circumstances they would be most useful. He then covered the rotate tool, the navigator tool, how to set up and save a customized work space and then showing some of the ways to change preferences. Chapter three begins going over pixels, image size and resolution and how they affect various methods of printing and internet viewing. He then went over up sampling
